Two students of the Java Institute for Advanced Technology, 12- year old twin sisters, Senuri Siribaddana and Thenuri Siribaddana, set a world record as the youngest and also as the youngest twins to successfully complete the Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Programmer (OCPJP) Examination. They were appreciated at the opening ceremony of the Java Institute’s Faculty of Creative Studies.The exam tests how well a programmer has understood the core concepts of the Java programming language constructs. Mostly professionals with several years of experience in the IT industry take part in this examination in order to receive a highly recognised qualification that will help them achieve success in their career path. Senuri and Thenuri have studied the subject and began to learn about Java Technology at the age of 11. These smart twin sisters, were appreciated by Director and Head of the Oracle Applications of the South Asian Region, Chanditha Samaranayake, and by Dr. Bevan Morris from the Maharishi University of the USA in the presence of Professor Lakshman Madurasinghe, the Head of the Faculty of Creative Studies of the Java Institute, Prof Vidanage P. Karunaratne, the Head of the Faculty of Management Studies and the founder of the Java Institute, Dr. Ishantha Siribaddana. |
